Start Up / Service Tech - Seattle & Portland

Mechanical Sales Inc is searching for technicians for our Seattle-based Headquarters in Georgetown. We are looking for employees who are hardworking and self-reliant. The ideal candidate is a recent graduate of a technical program here in the Pacific Northwest. Your training will include onsite visits, manufacturers supplied education, and work alongside our experienced techs.

MSI has been representing mechanical heating and cooling equipment since 1971. We take pride in being involved with every step of the process. Not only do we sell our equipment, but we also start up and commission them as well. This is where you come in. Our job as Start Up and Service Techs is to support the equipment once it is installed. We are there to ensure install equipment performs correctly for their system. Once completed, we will keep the equipment running for years.

This is a position for someone who wants to learn and take pride in what they do. Confidence and communication are requirements of the job to build relationships. Being flexible in problem-solving to navigate resources, or where to find answers.

Salary range: $50K-$60K 

Essential Duties:

  • Perform Start up on Equipment Represented by MSI.

  • Provide warranty assistance on equipment sold

  • Complex technical equipment is supplied (personal hand tools required)

  • Perform annual service and maintenance on all equipment contracted.

  • Assist remotely with issues the customer or contractor may have in the installation and service process.

  • This job occasionally requires some heavy lifting.

  • Work Independently, task orientated

Professional Estimator/Project Manager

Mechanical Sales, Inc. has established itself as a premier full service commercial HVAC manufacturer's representative in Washington, Oregon, Alaska, and Idaho for over 50 years.

We are actively seeking a professional estimator / project manager to anchor our exponentially growing HVAC & mechanical business.

This candidate would work lock step with our HVAC team to facilitate the proposal process and support the outside sales team with the sales and order process.

Salary range: $65K-$80K

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Searching For And Tracking Projects For The Market

  • Managing Plans & Spec Intake Process And Coordinating With Sales Team For Proposal Stage

  • Working With Various Manufacturers In The Proposal, Submittal, and Ordering Process

  • Follow Up Calls With Customers

Qualifications:

  • HS Degree Required, Additional Technical Degree Preferred.

  • HVAC and/or Mechanical Industry Experience Preferred.

  • Ability To Read Plans, Specifications And Formulate Material Take Offs.

  • Must Be A Self Motivated Individual Including Ability To Prioritize Tasks With Excellent Deadline Management.

  • Local Position Is Preferred But Not Required For Highly Qualified Candidates.

  • Excellent Verbal And Electronic Communication Skills Required.

  • Candidate Must Be Willing To Learn New Processes And Adapt To Maximize Performance.
